Mike Modano Weekly Wrap-Up: Tuesday, March 18

The news was not good for the Dallas Stars last week with three consecutive losses as injuries continued to affect the roster.  The trade deadline brought a new linemate, at least temporarily, for Mike Modano with the acquisition of Stu Barnes from the Buffalo Sabres.  Modano skated between Barnes and Jere Lehtinen against Minnesota and Edmonton and centered a line with Brendan Morrow and Scott Young as his wingers against Vancouver.  Modano posted one assist in each of the three losses with opponent focus squarely on stopping No. 9 from doing damage.

Modano on the prospect of again possibly facing Edmonton in the first round of the playoffs.  The Stars and Oilers faced each other in the 2001, 2000, 1999, 1998 and 1997 playoffs.
