To raise awareness and funds for the program, Little Heroes Baseball hosted
the Fourth Annual Reebok Heroes Celebrity Baseball Game at the Dr. Pepper/Seven-Up Ballpark in Frisco, Texas, home
field for the Double A Texas League Champion Frisco Roughriders.
Two baseball teams, each made up of 10 celebrity players and 10 amateurs,
played "hard-charging, umpires umping, trash-talking, uniform-wearing,
managers managing, base-stealing, home-run hitting, nine inning, authentic
BASEBALL!" The game featured 60 MPH machine-pitch hardball with
much more action and excitement than any celebrity softball game. Seth Myers from Saturday Night Live was the MC for the gala the evening before the game and put on his uniform to play ball with the others on Saturday night. To get the festivities started, top players ages 10 - 12 were featured. In the evening, celebrities and amateurs also
competed in the homerun derby. Seth Meyers and Finesse Mitchell from Saturday Night Live were there, as well as local celebrities and athletes from all over.
